Kapuso actor Benjamin Alves finally confirmed his rumored relationship with model and blogger Chelsea Robato.
After almost eight months of being single, Alves hinted to his fans about his rumored romantic affair with Robato on social media. The two are often seen exchanging sweet messages and posting photos of each other on Instagram. Amidst the speculations, the actor remained mum about their real score between them.
But on Monday, July 29, Alves finally ended speculations and spoke about his relationship with Robato. He posted a photo of him carrying Robato in his arms with the caption: “I didn’t find a perfect moment, because I think that today was just about just having today. And I think that we are one of those couples with a long story, when people ask how they found each other. I will see her every now and then. And maybe one year she’ll be with somebody, and the next year, I’ll be with somebody, and it’s gonna take a long time. And then it’s perfect.”

Robato also posted her photo with Alves on Instagram which said:“perfect timing.”

Robato and her ex-boyfriend Christian Busby were contestants of ABS-CBN’s romantic reality show I Do in 2014.
Alves, on the other hand, had a two-year relationship with singer and actress Julie Anne San Jose. They broke up in November 2018 and a month after, unfollowed each other on Instagram.
He recently got himself in trouble after he liked a netizen’s comment about San Jose leaving a group on Twitter.
Tagging the actress’ account, the netizen said:”@myjaps left the group”
He received criticisms from netizens and this prompted him to air an explanation on Instagram saying: “Hmmmm…. liked a comment meant to be deleted. Wasn’t meant to be liked at all.”
Despite this, netizens still threw hate comments at the actor for liking the comment.
Alves and San Jose were last paired in the 2017 afternoon series Pinulot Ka Lang Sa Lupa.
