Almira Muhlach, a veteran actress and makeup artist, is now a ‘balik-Kapuso’ star.
Almira is best known for her role as Catwoman in 1991 Filipino musical-comedy film Alyas Batman en Robin produced by Regal Films. She has also acted in various TV series like Ipaglaban mo‘ and Maalaala Mo kaya. Recently, she played the character of Helen Martin-Corpuz in popular ABS-CBN trending primetime series Halik.
Her last show on GMA Network was in 2007 for a television drama series, Lupin, that was part of the network’s telebabad line up.
Twelve years later, Almira is now back on the Kapuso network in the upcoming afternoon drama, Madrasta.
She is excited about her comeback project with GMA Network and about her new generation co-stars.
“Itong story [conference] nga nakita ko puro ang babata ng kasama ko. So, I’m excited to work with the new leading men and leading women of GMA,” she said.
What can we look forward to Almira now that she is again at the Kapuso Network?
“Siyempre, kung ano ‘yung dati kong mga binibigay sa dati kong show and ‘yung recent kong show, they’d see that in me. But, I’d attack it in a different way para naman may difference ‘di ba. Hindi lang ‘yung laging, ‘Ay ito nalang ‘yung lagi niyang binibigay na acting,'” Almira said.

She added, “I’m excited again to be a kontrabida and ma-hate and ma-bash na naman ako.”
Together with her in the upcoming drama series are Juancho Trivino, Gladys Reyes, Kelvin Miranda, Manilyn Reynes, Arra San Agustin, Thea Tolentino, and Phytos Ramirez.
