Alden Richards expressed his gratitude to TV host and actress Karla Estrada for helping him out in the past.
The actor, together with Kathryn Bernardo, made a guest appearance in an episode of Magandang Buhay this Tuesday, July 30. He narrated how Karla made the effort to solve a problem he faced during his early years in showbiz.
Karla first worked with him on the 2011 Kapuso series Alakdana which was Alden’s first-ever project as an artist. The actress played his mother in the series when she was still with GMA Network.
According to Alden, Karla was the one who called an event organizer and explained that he couldn’t attend the event in Laguna because of his taping schedule in Quezon City.
“Kasi title holder ako ng Ginoong Laguna way back 2010.
Upon hearing this, Karla was all smiles and thankful to Alden who showed gratitude to her. She also complimented the actor for being a kind person.
“Thank you and I am very, very proud. I am very, very happy kasi mabait ka rin,” Karla said.
Karla is the mother of Daniel Padilla, Kathryn’s boyfriend of seven years.
Four years after making his debut in the series, Alden became a host on Eat Bulaga and was paired up with Maine Mendoza who was known as Yaya Dub. Their tandem, dubbed as AlDub, was unexpectedly formed in the noontime show and was hailed as the phenomenal love team. Sadly, the tandem split up earlier this year.

He won his first Best Actor award for his portrayal of José Rizal in Ilustrado at the 29th PMPC Star Awards for Television in 2015.
Alden and Kathryn are working together for the first time in the romance movie Hello, Love, Goodbye under the direction of Cathy Garcia-Molina. The two visited the popular morning talk show to promote their movie which recently premiered on July 31.
