“Siguro po, Tito Boy, from that 10-year journey, even yung way before show business, it’s really the struggle of rejection,” he said.
“You’ve tried so many times, you’ve given all you’ve got, but still get no for an answer. Mas marami po yung ‘no,’ ” Alden added.
Tito Boy commended Richards for being simple and not materialistic. He even revealed that the young actor can find happiness and contentment in playing video games.

Richards was also asked how he deals with fans, especially extreme encounters. This made the actor recall the time when a fan wanted him to marry the fan’s daughter.
“May mga ganyan po kasi sometimes, [fans] will approach me and ire-reto po yung mga—knowing that I’m single now, Tito Boy, ire-reto po yung anak nila.”
Since the Hello, Love, Goodbye star mentioned about “being single,” the talk show host asked him about his last relationship.
Richards answered, “It was a long time [ago]. I was in college. That was the last.”
Moving forward, the 27-year-old actor admitted that he fell in love with an actress, but he didn’t mention the name. When asked why they didn’t become an item, this is what he had to say: “Siguro po parang there’s a point in a relationship and in life, Tito Boy, sometimes na no matter how strong the feelings [are] towards a person, minsan hindi talaga kayo nagkakaintindihan… Hindi po umabot sa naging kami.”

Before he became the ‘Al’ in the AlDub tandem opposite Maine Mendoza, Richards was formerly been paired up with other actresses. In the early stage of his career as an actor, he starred opposite female actresses such as Louise Delos Reyes in the afternoon drama series Alakdana in 2011 and One True Love in 2012, Marian Rivera in the 2014 drama series Carmela, Andrea Torres and Janine Gutierrez in the 2018 fantasy series Victor Magtanggol, and his former on-screen partner Maine Mendoza.
In 2013, the Kapuso actor was romantically linked to Asia’s Pop Sweetheart Julie Anne San Jose but the actor denied that there was something going on between them with the latter affirming that they are just friends.
In a 2015 interview, Sam Pinto revealed that she and the actor used to date back in 2011. However, things didn’t work out for them as she sees Richards as too young for her.
Richards’ name became more famous when he became “Pambansang Bae” and paired up with “Yaya Dub” Maine Mendoza on Eat Bulaga in 2015. The AlDub Nation was wildly rooting for them to end up together. However, in 2017, Mendoza clarified the real score between them. In her open letter to fans, the actress admitted that she and Richards are only friends.
Mendoza is currently in a romantic relationship with Kapamilya actor, Arjo Atayde.
Meanwhile, Richards is busy promoting his first-ever film with Star Cinema and director Cathy Garcia-Molina opposite first-time on-screen partner Kathryn Bernardo. Graded A by Cinema Evaluation Board, Hello, Love, Goodbye is currently out in theaters nationwide.
Aside from the meaningful story of the movie, netizens can’t help but notice the natural chemistry of Richards and his leading lady. Many admire Richards for his flexibility and versatility as an actor.
