Singer-actress Agot Isidro took a pot shot at the attendance of Congressmen at the plenary.
In a tweet, Isidro, who is a known Duterte critic, shared a picture of the House of Representative’s plenary hall with its seemingly low number of people.

Isidro slammed politicians for always being present during election period even for other extra-curricular activities but always absent during sessions.
“Eto and mambabatas ninyo. Kapag kampanya, present sa lahat ng kasal, binyag, libing at kumpil. Kapag naitalaga na at kailangan magtrabaho, absent. Palakpakan, Pilipinas” she tweeted.
The Senate and House of Representative have formally opened their regular sessions last July 22 alongside President Rodrigo Duterte’s 4th State of the Nation Address.
Traditionally, Congress’ attendance has always been dismal after its opening session. If the joint session during SONA made the plenary hall jam-packed, regular session days are usually almost empty.
Normally Congress’ quorum are achieved during debate of priority bills or if a special session is called by the leadership. And although there are numbers of pending bills in Congress, they are usually settled or acted upon first at the committee level before it goes down to the plenary.
But one Congressman made sure his attendance was counted. Muntinlupa Representative Ruffy Biazon replied to Agot and said he was there at the plenary right beside the podium.
