Three months after the official announcement of the upcoming drama series Love Thy Woman, Erich Gonzales has decided to withdrew from the project.
Erich was supposed to play an architect who comes from a wealthy Chinese family and is engaged to the character of Xian Lim.
Her past rumored relationship with Xian supposedly had nothing to do with her decision. She backed out from the project reportedly because of the kontrabida nature of her character which was not discussed with her during the story pitch.
Thirty-one-year-old Yam Concepcion was introduced by Dreamscape as the replacement for Erich in the upcoming drama series highlighting Filipino-Chinese families.
Aside from Yam, Love Thy Woman’s cast includes Kim Chiu, Xian Lim, Eula Valdez, Christopher de Leon, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Sunshine Cruz, Ruffa Gutierrez, and Jennifer Sevilla.

This drama series would have been the first time Erich would be in a love triangle with real-life couple Kim Chiu and Xian Lim. The series is directed by Jeffrey Jeturian.
The cast has already started taping for the series which has no airing date yet.
