Kapamilya actress Nadine Lustre finally revealed the reason she opted out from the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) film Miracle in Cell No.7 with Aga Muhlach.
“Pang third movie ko na po kasi this year ‘yun if ever, so I really felt that I needed a break,” Nadine told ABS-CBN News. “Kasi medyo na burnout na din po ako kasi naka-dalawang pelikula na ako this year. Mahirap din po na gumawa ng pelikula kasi other than shooting, meron pang promotions.”
She did two movies this year: the Pinoy fantasy-romantic film Ulan and the dance-musical Indak. She is also doing a new show on ABS-CBN.
Nadine also cleared up that the issue was not about her health so fans need not worry.
“It’s a good project, good material. Kaya lang po kasi sa akin mas importante para sa akin ‘yung sarili ko kasi I’m not rushing naman po e, hindi naman po ako nagmamadali,” Nadine explained. “They completely understand, even sa VIVA, when I told them about it na parang gusto ko po magpahinga.”
Earlier reports said that Nadine backed out of her MMFF entry due to medical reasons. “Miss Lustre has begged off the project due to medical concerns and her resulting inability to perform her duties as an actress during the shoot up to the promotion of the film,” Viva boss Vincent Del Rosario said in a letter he wrote for the MMFF committee.
