Sahaya lead stars Bianca Umali and Miguel Tanfelix don’t have any plans on retreating from the top-rating series of Coco Martin, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
Miguel even joked that Sahaya will last for two years despite their struggles to defeat FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano in terms of ratings.
So far, Sahaya has been seen as a worthy opponent of the Coco’s series for achieving two-digit ratings, unlike its predecessors.
“Pabiro ang sagot ni Miguel Tanfelix na aabot pa raw ng dalawang taon ang Sahaya nila,” said Gorgy Rula of Pilipino Star Ngayon.
In the end, GMA Network has the final say if Sahaya will last in the network’s Primetime line up.
“Depende naman daw kasi iyun sa management ng GMA-7, dahil wala naman daw silang magagawa kung hanggang kailan ang drama series nila.
“Mas challenging lang daw ngayon dahil itinapat na sila sa FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano,” he wrote.
But Miguel assures fans that Sahaya will last for a long time and that they are happy for the unwavering support.
Sahaya had previously announced that they would be the first Philippine series that would be available on Netflix.
However, news suddenly broke out that FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano made its way to Netflix first, under the title Brothers, thus overtaking the Sahaya series.
The action series just got more exciting with its new characters played by Arron Villaflor, Kaiser Boado, Josef Elizalde, and Martin Escudero. The new characters are part of a task force spearheaded by Police Captain Amir Marquez, which will help the group of Dalisay to arrest Alias Bungo and his gang.
The viewers can’t stop watching the addictive series. For the episode recap, Bungo chose another target while Lily continues to lure Oscar with her fake love. Bungo’s group tortured the female members of Task Force Agila that they have taken captive. Meanwhile, the CIDG put Bungo’s former residence under surveillance, while some Task Force Agila members tried to track down their missing comrades.
On the other hand, Sahaya moved the hearts of the viewers when Ahmad reunited with his family after a long time while Sahaya is one step closer to finding her real father.
For now, Bianca and Miguel are excited about their upcoming movie Family History which is set to be released this July 24 in Philippine cinemas. Bianca shared that the film gave them a good experience.
The two also dished out details on their movie which was directed by Michael V.
“Pinaka-close kasi ito sa totoong kami. Maraming millennials na makaka-relate dito,” Miguel revealed.
“This time, dito kasi sa role namin na sina Mannix and Jenna, almost Miguel and Bianca. And that’s what makes it different because, it’s how natural is going to look at kung gaano kami ka-relax at kung sino lang kami talaga,”Bianca added.
Family History will be the launching movie of GMA Pictures and Mic Test Entertainment. It will tackle a heart-warming story about the values of life, marriage, and love that will always lead you home.
