Mark your calendars as Indak, a movie produced by Viva Films starring Nadine Lustre and Sam Concepcion, hits Philippine cinemas on August 7.
Indak is a dance musical film that centers around competitive dancing.
According to the Multi-Media Princess, the film’s story is somehow similar to her personal life. The film is about making your dreams come true no matter how difficult the challenges that may arise.
She said, “Parang istorya ko nga po ‘yon eh. I guess sa experience ko, ‘wag po kayo matakot kung ano ‘yung dreams n’yo. I-push n’yo lang hanggang sa maabot n’yo ‘yon. Kasi once na alam mo ‘yun nag-doubt ka sa sarili mo tapos umatras ka na, wala na. So forever na ‘yon na mawawala sa ‘yo.”
Meanwhile, aside from her upcoming film opposite Sam, Nadine has another project. She is set to star opposite Aga Muhlach for the remake of the 2013 hit Korean movie, Miracle in Cell No. 7.
Many fans are still hoping that James and Nadine will have a new project together soon. However, the actress believes that the right time will come for them to be working on a project together again.
“I get naman po, medyo matagal naman na nga kami walang project ni James together sa big screen o kahit sa TV. Ako po kasi naniniwala ako na may right timing for everything so hindi naman kailangan magalit, ma-disappoint or anything. Darating po ‘yon antayin lang natin,” the actress explained.
For the record, her project with Aga is the third project of the actress sans on-screen and off-screen partner James Reid after taking separate paths in 2018.
Nonetheless, Nadine is happy with what’s going on with their personal careers. For her, “It’s also stepping stone, you grow together, you grow apart. It’s nice din na wala si James kasi I have my own projects.”
James and Nadine’s first project together was the Diary ng Panget in 2014. The success of their film and their tandem moved on to star in another film titled Talk Back and You’re Dead. Other films they top-billed together include Para Sa Hopeless Romantic (2015), This Time (2016), and Never Not Love You (2018).
Aside from the big screen projects, JaDine loveteam also starred in various television shows of ABS-CBN such as Wansapanataym presents My App Boyfie, On The Wings Of Love, and Till I Met You.
However, after their award-winning film “Never Not Love You”, the couple decided to take separate paths by means of not having projects together for them to grow and to show their versatility as actors, and not become dependent on their loveteam.
In 2018, James became one of Sarah Geronimo’s leading men in the remake of the 2014 Korean film, “Miss Granny.” Meanwhile, Nadine team-up with Carlo Aquino for the film, “Ulan” that was initially released on March 2019.
JaDine fans may not have to wait too long since James and Nadine are reportedly going to work together on the remake of the 2011 Korean movie titled Spellbound. If that’s the case, this will be the comeback project of the JaDine tandem after their successful box-office hit Never Not Love You in 2018.
No further details regarding the movie have been revealed as of this writing.
