Marjorie Barretto is planning to take legal action against a netizen who posted a photo of her daughter Julia Barretto and Gerald Anderson on social media.
In a photo shared by Kath Cabrera in an Instagram post, Julia could be seen together with Gerald during Rayver Cruz’s 30th birthday celebration last July 20 at Revel in BGC.
The post went viral and fueled the rumors of an affair between the Between Maybes co-stars.
In the comment section of Marjorie’s recent Instagram post, one netizen suggested that she should take legal action against the netizen who uploaded the photo of her daughter and Gerald.
The netizen said: “ms. Marj you should take legal action with this fan @cabrera.kath siya po pasimuno ng pagpapakalat ng pictures wherein giving false accusations between gerald and julia naninira po siya! Idemanda nyo po siya para magkalesson siya!”
And Marjorie responded in the affirmative: “Yes. I will”
Marjorie also reacted to a netizen who suggested filing a case against the women who are expressing their support for Bea Alonzo, Anderson’s girlfriend.
The netizen commented:”pakidemanda po 90% of woman who takes Bea’s side p.s masakit maloko dami nring memeh yung anak muh before makuha ni Gerald anak muh isako muh n po”
“Ikaw yata ang naloko nila. Based on a harmless photo, naging mangaagaw na si Julia? You’re so affected. The person who is circulating that is even hiding under a dummy account. You mean that person has more credibility?” Marjorie wrote.
In her initial statements, Marjorie claimed that the photo shows nothing wrong between Julia and Gerald.
She also assured fans that Julia is staying strong despite the controversy.
“I raised my children to stand up to bullies,” Marjorie added as a reply to a follower who told her that the netizen who started circulating the photo of the Between Maybe stars has deactivated her Instagram account.
She tagged the uploader and said, “Please explain too that this was taken at the party of Rayver. That you zoomed in this photo. If you care to zoom out, you will see that they were a big group that includes my nephew. I don’t see anything wrong with this photo. They don’t seem to be hiding.”
The mother also reiterated that the two are just friends. “There are people around, and if I’m not mistaken, Julia was waving at someone. This is not a date. They know each other, they have worked together, they are friends.”
The netizen who was responsible for posting Julia and Gerald’s photo has now deactivated her Instagram account a day after her post.

On July 21, Sunday, Bea Alonzo made cryptic posts on Instagram.
In the said post, Bea posted a black photo with a quote that read, “You can’t make the same mistake twice, the second time you make it, it’s not a mistake anymore, it’s a choice.’ ENOUGH.”
While she didn’t mention any names, eagle-eyed fans noticed Bea had liked the Instagram post about Gerald and Julia. Their names became instant top trending topics on Twitter.
