After four months of airing, the fantasy series Kara Mia bid farewell to viewers on June 28, 2019.
The show premiered its pilot episode on February 18, 2019.
The main cast Barbie Forteza (Kara) and Mika Dela Cruz (Mia) couldn’t contain the happiness they felt for the success of their primetime show. They also shared how proud they were for being part of this fantasy series project.
According to Barbie, “I’ve always been proud of the concept and the cinematography.
“It wasn’t easy shooting heavy scenes in different angles, walking backwards, talking to someone who’s literally behind you.
“But despite all that, I am most proud that we’ve kept a light and happy set.”
For Mika, “I’m super proud na naging part ako nitong teleseryeng ito dahil first time na may nag-come up na ganito ang story/concept.
“Happy ako kasi na-e-execute nang maganda.
“Kami yung show na hindi pa nagsisimula ay nagte-trend na at kahit ganoon ka-weird isipin sa una, tinanggap ng tao at binigyan ng chance ang kuwento namin.”
Bianca Umali’s Sahaya took over Kara Mia’s timeslot followed by the new primetime series titled The Better Woman starring one of the hottest Kapuso, Derek Ramsay and Andrea Torres.
In its four-month run, Kara Mia, like previous shows, wasn’t able to reign in its timeslot against its rival FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. Until it’s very last episode, the show failed to defeat the action series of ABS-CBN that is on its three-year run.
