Despite all the noise and controversy, it appears that all is well between ex-lovers turned best friends Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto.
On Wednesday (July 24) night, Barretto shared a screencap of Garcia’s encouraging words to her as shown in an Instagram story.
“This guy knows how to find humor in everything,” Barretto captioned her post, tagging Garcia’s Instagram account.
“Malalampasan mo ‘yan,” the screenshot of Garcia’s text message read. “I know you, you’re the strongest girl na nakilala ko. Takot nga ako sa iyo eh.”
Joshua and Julia have a movie coming out in a few months titled Block Z. In Block Z, Julia and Joshua are among a group of people trying to escape a university in the middle of a zombie outbreak.
Barretto was dragged into a controversy involving Gerald Anderson alleging he was cheating on his girlfriend Bea Alonzo with her. Since then, she has turned off the comments section of all of her Instagram posts.
Barretto’s mother Marjorie also bared her plans to take legal action against the uploader of a photo of Julia and Gerald that started the controversy.
