Joshua Garcia and Janella Salvador will finally have a chance to work together after three failed attempts by ABS-CBN management. The two will be co-starring with Geoff Eigenmann and Maja Salvador in the series The Killer Bride.
Janella will be portraying a mortuary make-up artist named Emma, a girl who will mysteriously arrive in the town of Las Espadas after Camilla’s death, claiming that she is being possessed by Camilla (played by Maja Salvador). Garcia’s character Elias is a gardener, who always chooses to be happy despite having experienced a traumatic tragedy in the past wherein his family was massacred.
Garcia will not be working with usual love team partner Julia Barretto in this series.
ABS-CBN has attempted to pair up Joshua and Janella in the past. Joshua was supposed to be in Born For You in 2016 but he was replaced by Jimboy Martin. Janella was supposed to join Joshua in The Good Son in 2017 but was replaced by Loisa Andalio.
Janella was first announced to be playing Kath in the Metro Manila Film Festival 2016 entry Vince and Kath and James but she was replaced by Julia Barretto. It was in this movie that the JoshLia love team was born.
The Killer Bride will be helmed by Dado Lumibao under the drama unit headed by Roda C. Dela Cerna. It also stars also stars Jobelle Salvador, Dominic Ochoa, Alexa Ilacad, Loren Burgos, Eddie Gutierrez, Aurora Sevilla, Precious Lara Quigaman, Ariella “Ara” Arida, James Blanco, Sam Concepcion, Cris Villanueva, Pamu Pamorada, Malou De Guzman, Pepe Herrera, Eric Nicolas, Keanna Reeves, and Neil Coleta.
