Kapamilya actress Jessy Mendiola just ended rumors about her transferring to another network.
She is now part of the new series of ABS-CBN titled Sandugo along with Ejay Falcon, Elisse Joson, Aljur Abrenica, and Maika Rivera.
Last Saturday, July 27, Dreamscape Entertainment AdProm Manager Eric John Salut posted a photo of Jessy undergoing a workshop with Ejay, Aljur, and Elisse.
Salut wrote, “I am amazed!!!! Woohoo! #SanDugo acting workshop @ejaythefalcon @elissejosonn @ajabrenica and @senorita_jessy”

Dreamscape Entertainment, an ABS-CBN content provider, has yet to give details about Jessy’s role in the series.
However, Jessy was not present during the January 31 story conference of SanDugo.
At that time, only Elisse and Maika were introduced as Ejay and Aljur’s leading ladies.

Jessy was not able to renew her contract with Star Magic after it ended in October 2018. The actress shared to LionhearTV her reason for leaving the talent arm of ABS-CBN.
“The reason why I left is I just want to explore other options. But Star Magic has been so good to me and they’ve really taken good care of me ever since I started in the industry kaya no bad blood. Star Magic will always be a part of my career,” Jessy said.
During the media conference of her movie Stranded last March 26, Jessy admitted that she became impatient after not getting any TV assignments for a long while.
She said back then, “Siyempre, naiinip po ako. Sino ba naman pong hindi? Pero kung naiinip ka man, e, di gumawa ka ng something productive o puwede mong kabisihan, like, ‘yan ang business o kung ano pang medium na puwede mong ipakita ang sarili mo.”
Jessy first worked with ABS-CBN in 2004 as she was launched as one of the Star Magic Batch 15 talents. Her first project with the Kapamilya network was Star Magic Presents: Abt Ur Luv Ur Lyf 2.
But her biggest break was when she bagged the titular role of ABS-CBN’s remake of the hit Mexicanovela Maria Mercedes in 2013.
Her last TV appearance was in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano in 2018, but her last regular drama series was the teleserye You’re My Home, which ended in March 2016.
