The “kilig heartthrob” of GMA dramas Jeric Gonzales is teaming up with former beauty queen and veteran actress Alice Dixson for a new Kapuso series. Gonzales is now preparing for the upcoming series by having regular gym workouts to improve his physique.
The title of the series and its details are not yet announced.
He was supposed to be starring in the action series Rosang Agimat, however, due to the death of cast member Eddie Garcia the show was shelved.
The 26-year-old actor was one of the winners of the second season of the reality show, Protégé, a reality-based artista search, created by GMA Network.
He appeared in several series such as Ika-5 Utos (2018), Kambal, Karibal (2017–2018), Super Ma’am (2017), Trops (2016), and Destiny Rose (2015-2016).
Alice, 49, is known for her roles in Ngayon at Kailanman (2018), FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano (2018), Ilustrado (2014), For Love or Money (2013), and several Viva films.

With their wide age gap, the two will follow the current trend of pairing up younger male actors with older female actresses such as the pair of Tony Labrusca and Angel Aquino in controversial movie Glorious in 2018. The onscreen partnership of Anne Curtis and Marco Gumabao will soon be seen in the movie Just a Stranger that will be released on August 21, 2019. While Mylene Dizon and Kit Thompson are pairing up for a steamy love story in the Cinemalaya film Belle Douleur (A Beautiful Pain). It will also premiere on August 21 this year.
