GMA Network’s afternoon prime and Sabado Star Power series Dragon Lady will soon end on July 20.
But even before the series reaches its finale, the character of Bryan Atienza (played by James Blanco) already bid his farewell. Is this because James will be working with the Kapamilya Network soon in an upcoming teleserye?
On July 11, during the newest Kapamilya television show The Killer Bride‘s conference, it was confirmed that James will be joining the cast.
James is a freelance actor and model who previously worked as a teen idol. He is known for his roles in Ikaw Lang Ang Mamahalin (2001–2002), Rubi (2010), Lorenzo’s Time (2012), One More Chance (2007), Now and Forever: Ganti (2005) and in the 2014 GMA afternoon primetime Yagit as Victor Guison.
Aside from Dragon Lady, he recently appeared in the ABS-CBN’s television show Maalaala Mo Kaya’s Family Portrait episode as young Edong and Harry in the Ipaglaban Mo’s Apelyido episode.
Details for The Killer Bride are still being kept on the down low, but it seems to be the ultimate ‘serye to watch out for in the coming months.
For the first time ever, Joshua Garcia, Janella Salvador, Maja Salvador, and Geoff Eigenmann will join forces for this television show.
Geoff, who made his Kapamilya comeback playing the young Don Roman Cardinal in Los Bastardos, shared that his character Vito is a very passionate man when it comes to music. However, he will eventually learn to manage their family’s business as he gets more mature in life.
Maja plays the role of Camilla, a woman who grew up filled with happiness and love but is bound to have a complicated life and dies early because of her relationship with Vito who belongs to their family’s rival clan.
Janella will be portraying a mortuary make-up artist named Emma, a girl who will mysteriously arrives in the town of Las Espadas after Camilla’s death, claiming that she is being possessed by Camilla.

Joshua says his character Elias is a gardener who always chooses to be happy despite having experienced a tragedy in the past when his family was massacred.
