- The Better Woman keeps on gaining the interest of viewers despite its failed attempts to win against rival The General’s Daughter in the ratings game
- The newest Kapuso series registered low ratings against its timeslot rival in data from both TV rating providers NUTAM and Kantar Media
- It seems like the show is ending soon because in just three weeks the big plot twist was already revealed
Since its premiere episode on July 1, The Better Woman, starring Derek Ramsay in his first-ever drama series as a Kapuso and Andrea Torres, is slowly gaining the interest of Kapuso viewers.
The show keeps on making waves on Twitter as it keeps its audience hooked despite not being able to outscore its rival program, The General’s Daughter in the battle of the ratings.
After Kara Mia‘s finale, GMA Telebabad programs had to be reshuffled. Sahaya took over Kara Mia‘s timeslot pitting it against FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. The Better Woman took over the timeslot vacated by Sahaya and went up against The General’s Daughter.
From its first episode, the show failed to win over its timeslot rival in both TV ratings providers: National Urban Television Audience Measurement (NUTAM) and Kantar Media.
Based on the data recorded by Kantar, The General’s Daughter won its timeslot, garnering 30.3% audience share versus new rival The Better Woman‘s 14.0%. Meanwhile, the newest Kapuso series registered a rating of 9.8% that is still low against The General’s Daughter‘s 11.5%.
The Better Woman is a drama series that tells the story of married couple Andrew and Jasmine. Their almost perfect love story will be shaken as Jasmine reunites with her long lost twin sister, Juliet, who will have a forbidden love affair with Andrew.
However, the flow of the story seems faster than expected. In three weeks, the show has already “unleashed the twist” between its characters, especially with Juliet and Jasmine.
Does this mean The Better Woman ending soon?
