Family History serves as the comeback vehicle of GMA Pictures, previously named GMA Films, in making local movies after their unsuccessful releases in the past.
Co-produced with Mic Test Entertainment, the one who devoted his time in writing, producing, and directing this beautiful film is no other than Kapuso Ace Comedian Michael V.
The movie has earned positive feedback from moviegoers. Many appreciated the flow of the story in the movie.
The viewers also applauded the performance of the cast, particularly Dawn Zulueta who still amazes with her effortless acting skills. Aside from Dawn, Bianca Umali and Miguel Tanfelix, dubbed as “BiGuel” also earned praises for their outstanding performance in the movie.
According to Michael V, “Sa nakikita ko, maganda ang reaction, positive naman. Ito ang magiging pondo ko sa paggawa muli.”
“I guess, it’s the script talaga,” he added.
“Noong binasa ko ang script, I said, ‘It’s interesting. I’m curious, how will he pull this off?’ And you did,” Dawn replied to Michael V.
Family History earned praises and became a trending topic on Twitter. Netizens happily shared their experiences and insights of the movie on different social media platforms. Here are some of their reactions:

Most local films nowadays struggle at the box office because of the domination of foreign movies and the rapid increase of video streaming websites. Family History may be able to buck the trend and do well in ticket sales until the end of its run.
