What is happening to the tandem of Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto? What is JoshLia’s status right now? In an interview with ABS-CBN’s News MJ Felipe, they were asked if they had already broken up.
“What is the real score between you? Kayo ba ay hiwalay na talaga?”
The two gazed and smiled each other and Joshua smiled and answered, “Hindi totoo yun, May pinagdaanan lang kami. Normal couple na pinagdadaanan, pero okay kami ngayon. Masaya kami ngayon.”
Then, both Julia and Joshua confirmed their status.
“For now, babalik muna kami sa pinagsimulan namin. We’re now best of friends. We managed to be the bestest of friends.”
They assured their fans that they have nothing to worry and their love team is strong and alive.
“And if the fans are worried, we can assure them that there is nothing to worry about. JoshLia is very much alive.”
They even clarified the malicious rumors linking Julia to Gerald Anderson.
“No, absolutely not,” Julia responded.
Joshua added, “Hindi naman totoo ‘yun. Hindi naman magagawa ni Gerald ‘yun. Parang kuya ko na si Gerald.”
Joshua also clarified a similar issue with a female talent from a different network.
“Hindi po totoo ‘yun, kaibigan ko lang po ‘yun. Alam niyo naman po dito sa showbiz, nabibigyan ng kulay lahat.”

When asked if they’ll still be dating each other since they’re “best friends,” Joshua joked, “Malay mo, yayain niya ako makipag-date!”
“Oh my, ako na pala ang manliligaw this time, ako na ‘yung i-effort, ‘yung magpa-pa-choir!” Julia answered.
The two will star in a movie Block Z with other stars Maris Racal and McCoy De Leon, which will be directed by Mikhail Red.
