It was on July 14, 2019, when a video of Andre Paras was published on an entertainment site.
With the title, Kawawang BASURERO Gustong MagpaPicture kay Andre Paras pero di makalapit, the said video has already 1, 775 views as of this writing.
The video shows fans of Paras taking pictures with him and a garbage man behind them, watching them intently. The uploader claimed that the garbage man wanted to take pictures with Paras. However, he couldn’t get near the actor.
Because of this, some who were able to view the video bashed Paras, calling him “maarte” and sympathizing with the garbage man.
Upon watching the video, Paras called the attention of the uploader and explained what really happened. He pointed out that he actually asked the man to stick around because he had something for him. According to the actor, he even gave the man money before he left but this part was cut and not seen in the video.
In the comment section, he wrote: “Hi. Did you at least see the part where I gave him all the change in my car? Or will you just post half the video? Thank you.
“My point is I hope you didn’t post this to make me and the people around me looked like we didn’t care. I did tell kuya to wait because I had something for him. That’s why he stuck around. Thank you,” he added.
His fans and other people who were present when the incident happened came to his defense and testified that what he said was true and that he doesn’t deserve the bashing he’s receiving.
Based on their comments, some of them even witnessed that Paras gave the man some money.
The fans attacked the publisher of the video whose intention they believe is to destroy other people’s reputation in exchange of views.
Here are few of the comments: “Wag nyong siraan c Andre!!! You people don’t know how humble and genuine he is.. After yan ng Sunday Pinasaya he make sure to meet his fans after the show kahit to the point na minsan sobrang pagod na siya.. And he even gave the poor guy money before he leaves.. Utang na loob he don’t deserved this kind of judgement from anyone of you. Kantiin nyo na lahat wag lang si Andre.”
The incident happened last Sunday, right after Sunday PinaSaya. Paras met with his fans to spend time with them and have few photo opps.
