GMA Network’s afternoon fantasy series and Sabado Star Power series Dragon Lady, with Janine Gutierrez in the titular role, premiered on March 4, 2019 ended last Saturday, July 20. The series will conclude with a total of 117 episodes.
The story is about Celestina who possess a mysterious dragon statue that will bring luck good and bad into her life, and she will have a dragon-like look. She eventually meets Michael, an adventurous and mysterious Filipino-Chinese bachelor.
Dragon Lady was extended several times due to its good ratings.
According to ‘AGB Nielsen Philippines’ Nationwide Urban Television Audience Measurement People’ in television homes, the pilot episode of Dragon Lady earned a 5.5% rating. The series got its highest rating on May 3, 2019 with a 7.5% rating.
On finale week in the Nielsen Phils. Tam (Arianna) NUTAM People Ratings, Dragon Lady got a rating of 6.7%, which is 0.4% higher than ‘It’s Showtime’ with 6.3% rating.
The series ended with 7.8% last Saturday (July 20) while it’s rival show ‘It’s Showtime’ only got 6.5%. The Kapuso series ended their battle with 1.3% advantage.

Dragon Lady will be replaced by Hanggang sa Dulo ng Buhay Ko, a drama horror series which will star Miss World 2013 Megan Young together with Kris Bernal, Rayver Cruz, and Kim Domingo. It will premiere on July 22, Monday.
The series will bring chills and suspense for afternoon viewers.
