On the ABS-CBN noontime show ‘It’s Showtime,’ a funny and unexpected conversation happened when ‘Wowowin’ host Willie Revillame was a “guest” via phone patch and talked to the ‘It’s Showtime’ hosts.
On June 3, 2019, a ‘Tawag ng Tanghalan’ contestant Clyde Borogan almost said ‘Wowowin’ instead ‘It’s Showtime’ when he was giving a message for his wife.
Afterward, Vice Ganda let the contestant say his message to Willie Revillame. The male contestant asked for a drone from the ‘Wowowin’ host for his son’s upcoming birthday.
Vice Ganda then said they should call the ‘Wowowin’ host and ‘Tawag Ng Tanghalan’ judge Ogie Alcasid, who had Willie Revillame’s phone number, offered to call him.
When Willie was already on the phone, he jokingly said to Ogie that ‘It’s Showtime’ has ‘Wowowee’s’ former time slot
“Paalala mo kay Vice, Ogie dati kong timeslot yan, kinuha niyo.“
Willie then jokingly asked if he could guest on It’s Showtime to which Vice Ganda agreed immediately.
“Oo, Kuya Will, ngayon din, halika na!” Vice said.
Laughingly, Willie joked that he may be removed from his network because of it.
“Baka matanggal na naman ako, lagi na lang ako natatanggal sa istasyon.”
Vice replied in jest that before that happens, they will be removed first.
“Wag kang mag-alala, bago ka matanggal kami muna.”
Before the call ended, Willie promised to fulfill the ‘Tawag ng Tanghalan’ contestant’s request. And after a day, the ‘Wowowin’ host granted Clyde Borogan’s birthday wish of receiving a drone which he would then gift to his child.
Ogie said in a DZRH interview on Tuesday night said, “Kanina, naipadala na niya,” Alcasid said in his radio interview. “He made it sure na makarating. So, nag-text siya sa akin, ‘O, ayan, napadala ko na.’ Nakaka-good vibes iyon, ‘di ba?”
