  • Eddie Garcia had been in critical condition, confined in the hospital since June 8, following an incident while shooting for a TV show
  • He had suffered a cervical fracture
  • Garcia has been in the showbiz industry for almost 70 years

Stars and friends of multi-awarded actor and director Eddie Garcia took to social media on Sunday, June 20, following the news of his sudden death.
These celebrities share their sympathies and prayers for the veteran actor.

After being in a coma for days, veteran actor Eddie Garcia has passed away Thursday. He was 90. He died at 4:55 p.m. of June 20, according to a medical bulletin issued by the Makati Medical Center.

Garcia suffered a neck injury after falling to the ground while taping for his television series last June 8.
