Johanne Morissette Daug Amon, better known by just Morissette Amon, has become one of the most popular singers of her generation.
Dubbed as “Asia’s Phoenix,” Morissette is herself a fan of Regine Velasquez and of Sarah Geronimo, who are considered two of the best singers in the country.
On Instagram, Morissette made an appreciation post for her greatest inspirations, saying they helped ignite her passion for singing and performing.
She included their photo which was taken backstage at ASAP Natin ‘To backstage on Sunday after they took the stage alongside other singers for a powerful number.

“I remember watching their concerts before when I was younger in Cebu, and that ignited my passion for singing and performing,” Amon recalled.
“Now I am so blessed to be living the dream and getting to share the stage with two of my greatest musical influences, whom I will always have love and respect for,” she added.
She was also thankful to Asia’s Songbird and Popstar Royalty for inspiring hopeful singers in the country.
“In behalf of all the dreamers you have inspired, maraming salamat po Ms. @reginevelasquez and Ate @sarahgph,” she ended her post.
Amon started to gain popularity in the industry after she joined The Voice of the Philippines under the wing of Geronimo.
She made the Philippines proud when she represented the country in the Asia Song Festival 2017 in Busan, South Korea.

Recently, Amon was chosen by Disney Philippines to do the cover of the Aladdin’s theme song, “A Whole New World” with Kapamilya singer Darren Espanto.
