- Kris Aquino recently returned from social media hiatus
- The actress left messages on her social media accounts hinting that she was leaving showbiz
- She also revealed her regrets in her showbiz life
During the past months, actress and multimedia star Kris Aquino has been facing challenging health issues. She was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and has flown abroad several times for treatment.
The actress avoided social media following the doctor’s advice.
Just recently, Kris returned from her social media hiatus only to make the announcement that she had decided to leave showbiz for good.
Kris left messages on her social media accounts hinting that she was leaving showbiz to live a private life on June 7.
Aside from this, the actress also shared some information about her that most people do not know.
In her Facebook post titled Better in Time, Kris revealed that her old ABS-CBN show Kris TV was supposed to be reformatted but the pilot she shot with Anthony Taberna was not approved.

“P.S. this didn’t happen because we didn’t impress management; ABS-CBN had tried in the early months of 2016 to tape a pilot for Anthony Taberna and myself. There’s no non-disclosure agreement so I’m posting this for the 1st time because I had seen it while organizing my iCloud pictures and videos.
“Our pilot wasn’t approved (I am owning not having asked for more off camera readings, bonding sessions, freewheeling discussions followed by camera rehearsals before the actual taping of the pilot which management viewed),” Kris wrote.
In 2011, she hosted Kris TV a lifestyle-magazine talk show which aired weekday mornings on ABS-CBN. The show ran from June 2011 to April 2016 prior to Kris officially leaving her home network of 20 years.
She also regretted the days where she declined the Korean producers who wanted to collaborate with her.
“This show is among my professional life’s could-have-beens, along with what Nay Lolit Solis had reminded me of recently, when I asked for K-Drama recommendations. She said ‘Tetay, ‘di mo ba naiisip ‘yung mga Korean na produ na inisnab mo lang?’ (Slap me now because I finished Sky Castle in 3 nights and I’m enjoying Man to Man).
“She vividly recalled the four meetings Korean producers had with us between late 1993 to early 1994, and I wasn’t forward thinking enough to have trusted their vision and signed up for a long-term contract with their company because I was ‘comfortable’ doing my massacre movies and I couldn’t see me entrusting the next five years of my life to them, because they were offering a long-term deal that would have brought me to Seoul which didn’t look that attractive monetarily but would have given me incentives. (I actually told her, ‘Nay, huwag na natin ikuwento, kasi ngayon ang dating parang ang tanga ko?’)”

She also shared how she appreciated Willie Revillame who fought for her spot as a co-host on Wowowin.
“And lastly, you might wonder why I have such a soft spot for Willie Revillame, apart from Kuya Josh’s love for him. I don’t think Willie will get upset if I share with you that he had tried to get me a 1 taping (so that would be three episodes) trial to co-host Wowowin back in late 2017 to early 2018.
“Again I’ll repeat, I understand political realities and Willie was told by his network that they shouldn’t rock the boat with the current administration by having me.
“Willie owes me and my family absolutely NOTHING. Yet he wanted to help open a door for me on free TV with no foreseeable gain for him, only that he felt we may have good on-screen chemistry and he’s always been aware of Kuya Josh’s loyalty to him (yes, sinundan ni Kuya si Tito Willie sa TV5 & ngayon sa GMA7). There, straight from me, no need to continue with the nasty words and mean-spirited comments na ‘laos’ ako.”
In the end, she said that she accepted everything heartily and believed that all will be better in time.
“Tanggap na tanggap ko po kung saan ang kinatatayuan ko ngayon. Pero parating pinaaalala sa‘kin, tuloy ang ikot ng mundo, hindi ito nilalabanan, ito’y sinasabayan at sinisikap na mapulutan ng mga mahalagang aral at pampatibay na mga alaala.
“No unfiltered answers as far as I’m concerned. That’s why I’m comfortable enough to really believe ALL will be BETTER IN TIME.”
