- Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia will soon star in the zombie movie Block Z
- The teaser of the movie was already released on June 28, Friday
- Julia and Joshua were seemingly sweet during their movie promotion amid breakup rumors
The teaser for the upcoming zombie movie of Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia titled Block Z was released during the opening day of the 2019 ToyCon held at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City on June 28, Friday.
The teaser showed thrilling glimpses of the movie: the country’s population is dwindling rapidly due to a mysterious infection and Julia’s character, wielding an axe, fends off the zombies and tries to find a safe place with a panicky group of students.
Despite their breakup rumors, Julia and Joshua were all smiles as they shared the stage to promote their movie. The two were looking sweet as they clung to each other while sharing what fans can expect from the Star Cinema’s newest movie directed by Mikhael Red of Birdshot and Eerie fame.

The public appearance of the tandem known as JoshLia surprised fans since it was assumed that they are no more.
It was earlier this month in a feature for friend Erich Gonzales’s vlog that Julia talked about heartbreaks and being in love with the “peace” she found without mentioning Joshua’s name.
After that, Joshua made a cryptic post on Twitter which said: “I’m a thinker, not a talker.” Since then, the two seemed to have become increasingly distant with one another. The rumored reason for their alleged breakup was Julia’s kissing scene with her co-star Gerald Anderson in the movie Between Maybes.
Red, in a previous interview with ABS-CBN News, described both Julia and Joshua as true professionals amid these rumors.
In the movie, Julia, Joshua, and some other people try to escape a university that’s been overtaken by a zombie outbreak. Julia will play a medical student while Joshua will play a varsity basketball player. The cast also includes Ian Veneracion, Ina Raymundo, Maris Racal, Yves Flores, Dimples Romana, and McCoy de Leon.
No target release date has been announced yet as of this writing.
