Kapuso actor Jestoni Alarcon recounted his moments with the veteran actor Eddie Garcia who collapsed early Saturday (June 8) on the set of his upcoming series. According to the official statement coming from his family, the 90-year-old actor had a heart attack while filming the upcoming teleserye Rosang Agimat.
Jestoni Alarcon recalled his moments with the multi-awarded actor before he was rushed to a hospital in Tondo and later revived and transferred to a hospital in Quezon City. He added that Garcia slipped into a coma at the Mary Johnston Hospital in Tondo, Manila.
“Kasama ko lang po kaninang umaga sa taping ng Rosang Agimat Gma7 si Tito Eddie. Kinumusta ako at nakikipag biruan pa kanina sa aming lahat nang mangyari sa taping na siya ay biglang natumba o nadulas habang ongoing ang scene, tumama ang kanyang ulo sa kalsada at duguan siya pagkadala sa hospital nalaman naming heart attack pala at comatose siya,” Jestoni shared.
The Kapuso actor then asked for prayers for the speedy recovery of the veteran actor. “Sama sama po tayong magdasal na bumuti ang kanyang kalagayan sa lalong madaling panahon. God bless you Tito Eddie #prayersfortitoeddie #injesusnameamen”
Other celebrities who have worked with the 90-year-old actor including Vice Ganda and his Rosang Agimat co-stars Thea Tolentino and Jeric Gonzales also took to social media to say their prayers for the speedy recovery of the actor.
