- Via gave an intelligent answer
New Viva recording artist Via Ortega had a media launch for her debut single titled “Paghanga.”
The talented 13-year-old girl, managed by writer and director Mercy Lejarde, is being groomed to become a pop star by her home studio. One of her idols is PopStar Royalty Sarah Geronimo to whom Via bears some resemblance.
Via has been taking voice lessons since she was three years old, but she has yet to experience joining a singing contest. Viva believes she has the potential to become a major singing star if given the right break.
She was cast as the lead character in the school musical Fina and The Vitas.
Via’s “Paghanga” is now out on Spotify, Apple Music, and other digital streaming platforms.
During a press conference, Via was asked to name other celebrities she admires.
“Si Nadine Lustre po kasi nakikita ko yung passion niya and how she does her job well.”

As a follow-up question, she was asked if she meant that Nadine is better than Sarah.
“No po. I think po they have unique qualities and I think po na hindi kino-compare yun,” Via explained.
Nadine and Sarah are among the most successful artists of Viva nowadays.
Nadine, who was hailed FAMAS Best Actress of the year, also bagged four awards at the MYX Music Awards 2019 that included Artist of the Year and Female Artist of the Year. Her song “St4y Up” won the Music Video of the Year award and her rendition of the Sugarfree classic “Prom” with James Reid also won the Media Soundtrack of the Year award for their movie Never Not Love You.
Just recently, Sarah was named best actress for the movie Miss Granny at the 35th Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for Movies. She also just launched her new makeup line called Pop Studio and confirmed her comeback as judge on the ‘The Voice Kids.’
