- ‘Idol Philippines’ and ‘StarStruck Season 7’ were in a tight battle for the ratings last Saturday (June 22) and Sunday (June 23)
In the June 22 and 23 episodes of the Idol Philippines, the 20 remaining Idol hopefuls performed in the Solo Round of the Idol City competition. In the June 22 episode, the 10 remaining female hopefuls performed in front of Idol judges Regine Velasquez, Vice Ganda, Moira dela Torre, and James Reid.
They were given the freedom to choose their song for the Solo Round.
At the end of the episode, six ladies made it to the Top 12 of Idol Philippines and they are: Fatima Louise, Sheland Faelnar, Trish Bonilla, Rachel Libres, Elle Ocampo, and Zephanie Dimaranan.
On the other channel, StarStruck season 7’s Final 14 is now complete. These 14 StarStruck hopefuls were chosen during the final audition aired during the June 15 to 16 and June 22 to 23 episodes, where 22 hopefuls faced the StarStruck council. The 14 hopefuls consist of seven female contestants: Pamela Prinster, Angelic Guzman, Dani Porter, Ella Cristofani, Shayne Sava, Lexi Gonzales, and Rere Madrid and seven male hopefuls: Abdul Rahman, Karl Aquino, Kim de Leon, Gelo Alagban, Jeremy Sabido, Jerick Dolormente, and Allen Ansay.
On June 22; Saturday, according to AGB NUTAM, the reality singing competition Idol Philippines earned a slightly higher rating of 10.8% than StarStruck which only got 9.7%.
Meanwhile, in the National TV Ratings of Kantar Media, Idol Philippines got a high score of 30.5% dominating against StarStruck’s 17.8%.
On June 23, Sunday, according to AGB NUTAM, Idol Philippines got 10.5% in a tight battle with StarStruck at 10%.
Meanwhile, in National TV Ratings of Kantar Media, Idol Philippines registered a high score of 28.8% while StarStruck only got 17%.
