The hit TV afternoon series ‘Kadenang Ginto’ of ABS-CBN has been extended recently. One of the Gold Squad members, Kyle Echarri, who plays the role of Kristoff Tejada, also confirmed that ‘Kadenang Ginto’ will be running for a year.
“Sabi po ni Sir Deo (Endrinal, head of Dreamscape) at least, the whole year daw po ‘yung Kadenang Ginto,” Echarri revealed.
The top rating afternoon series has got viewers addicted to the feisty confrontations not only between Cassie and Marga but also between their mothers Romina and Daniela as well.
Meanwhile, its rival show ‘Bihag’ of GMA Network will presumably end on June 21. The crime series will be replaced by ‘Hanggang sa Dulo ng Buhay Ko,’ formerly titled ‘The Haunted Wife,’ which will premiere on June 24 and to compete with ‘Kadenang Ginto.’
The mystery horror series will star Kris Bernal, Kim Domingo, Megan Young, and Rayver Cruz.
An unnamed source from the GMA Network revealed that they assumed that ‘Kadenang Ginto’ was going to end soon since it held a thanksgiving press conference.
“Akala namin tatapusin na ang Kadenang Ginto, kaya nagpa-thanksgiving presscon. Putik, nabasa ko, hanggang 2020 pa?” said the unnamed Kapuso insider in an interview with Balita Online.
“’Di ba ganu’n naman lagi sa ABS, kapag nagpa-thanksgiving presscon, magtatapos na? Kaya nagkagulatan nu’ng binanggit sa presscon na extended hanggang 2020. Nakakaloka talaga,” the Kapuso source laughingly said.
The Kapuso insider also admitted that the ABS-CBN series is truly trending nowadays with Beauty Gonzalez and Dimples Romana’s superb acting.
Balita Online later explained to the Kapuso insider that the thanksgiving press conference of ‘Kadenang Ginto’ was held as a celebration for its successive high ratings and as a launching event for love team partners of Andrea Brillantes and Francine Diaz, namely Seth Fedelin at Kyle Echarri.
