During the recent celebration of Father’s Day, a co-produced film ‘Family History’ by Mic Test Entertainment, Inc. and GMA Pictures is a heartwarming story that seeks to teach family values, life, and marriage to be directed by Michael V.
On ‘Sunday Pinasaya‘s’ Father’s Day episode, the aforementioned movie released its trailer as homage to the said celebration.
Michael V and Dawn Zulueta appeared as special guests.
On the other hand, GMA Pictures’ first official comeback film ‘Kiko En Lala’ has update just yet as to when will be its playdate.
‘Kiko en Lala’ is a comedy film and wiill feature two new rising comedians Tetay and Super Tekla and will also headline Comedy Queen Ms. AiAi delas Alas.
Though Tetay and Tekla are the stars of Kiko en Lala, there were rumors that the management had to put behind the release of the film instead. The bigwigs are allegedly not convinced to make the comedy flick as the carrier vehicle of the comebacking GMA Pictures, after it produced two flopped films–‘Basement’ and ‘Overtime’ almost five years ago.
In February, director Erik Matti shared his thoughts about the local films’ poor performance at the box-office, “Someone should do something about it. Government should intervene. This is not a slow death anymore. We are on life support and we need resuscitation. No more pointing fingers. I think we’re beyond that at this point. This is a plea for help.”
Matti even appealed to local audiences.
“Hundreds of movies are being made now but no one is really doing good business including the big studios. What happened to our local audience?”
