The supposed replacement of the terminated series Kara Mia, Rosang Agimat, has been confirmed to be shelved. This was resulted by the tragic on-set accident and eventual death of its cast member Eddie Garcia. The veteran actor sustained a severe neck fracture which put him in a coma.
After being comatose for almost two weeks, he succumbed to his injuries. The series’ shoot only lasted for days until it was postponed.
This confirmation was in accordance with Gorgy Rula of Pilipino Star Ngayon.
“Pinulong pala kamakalawa nang hapon ang mga artistang involved sa drama series na Rosang Agimat.
“Ipinagtapat na sa kanila na hindi na raw muna itutuloy ang naturang drama series na kung saan naaksidente si Eddie Garcia,”Rula said.
Meanwhile, GMA Network has yet to finish their investigation into Garcia’s accident during the Rosang Agimat taping. As for the stars of the canceled series, they were promised alternative projects.
“Wala pa kaming nakuhang balita tungkol sa sinasabi nilang imbestigasyon, pero ipinangako sa mga artistang bahagi ng seryeng iyun na bibigyan sila ng ibang programa,” according to Rula.
Rosang Agimat would have been the biggest break for Gabbi Garcia who holds the titular role and Jeric Gonzales who had undergone training for it.

Many were also intrigued about director Toto Natividad who has remained silent over Eddie Garcia’s accident and death. He also worked with the actor on FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
With the end of Kara Mia on June 28 and cancellation of Rosang Agimat, GMA Network already made adjustments to their Primetime Telebabad line up.
Starting on July 1, Sahaya will take over Kara Mia‘s spot after the news program 24 Oras and will be the newest rival of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. The upcoming series The Better Woman will follow after Sahaya while the rom-com series Love You Two will remain in its original timeslot.
The Better Woman will star Derek Ramsay and Andrea Torres and is set to be the new competitor of The General’s Daughter.
