Gather your family or barkada every Saturday evening this month of June as Movie Central brings a Movie Blowout line-up of sci-fi adventure movies that are sure to put you on the edge of your seats.
In the movie, “Equals,” Nia (Kristen) and Silas (Nicholas) live in the Collective, a futuristic society that has ended crime and violence by eliminating all human emotions. Even with the said conditions, Nia and Silas fall in love with each other. Catch how they will fight their superiors and escape their society. Don’t miss it this June 8.
Based on the book, “The Mortal Instruments” series by Cassandra Clare is the 2013 action film, “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones” which airs this June 15. Lily Colins stars a s Clay Fray, daughter of a Shadowhunter—half human, half Angel warrior who slays demons—from whom she inherited powers. Clay begins her quest in finding her lineage after her mother disappears. As she learns about her ascendants, she joins forces with others like her and heads into a dangerous alternate New York called the Shadow World.
Meanwhile, a rare disease destroys humanity in the movie, “The Girl with All the Gifts.” But one girl, Melanie (Sennia Nanua) seems to be immune to the disease. The doctors begin to experiment on her but she escapes and traces what she used to be, with the help of a Miss Justineau (Gemma Arteton), Sergeant Parks (Paddy Considine) and Dr. Caldwell (Glenn Close). The movie airs on June 22.
In “Pandemic,” a virus spreads and threatens life on Earth. After playing Theon Greyjoy in the hit series ‘Game of Thrones,’ ABS-CBN TVplus fans get to see Alfie Allen as Wheeler in the 2016 movie. See how he tries to help doctor Lauren (Rachel Nichols) find the survivors. It premieres this June 9 and has a replay on June 29 on Movie Blowout.
