“However as much as I understand the bleeding hearts of my supporters, I am not in favor of this fandom war of my DonKiss supporters against the other ship of my former onscreen partner to go on any further. I shall not permit myself to be involved in the situation where two girls are being pitted against each other, a war they may not even want to be in, just to earn the ‘victory’ of being a guy’s love team,” she added.

Donny’s dad and co-manager, Anthony Pangilinan also expressed his support for DonKiss but he said that according to Donny, the disbandment was a “direction of Star Magic management and is due to different expectations of the two parties from the loveteam”. He wrote on Twitter:
Hi Marge. We’ve been 100% with DonKiss. As Donny shared in last meet, the current direction for both by SM mgmt is due to different expectations of the 2 parties from the LT. Not 1 being right or wrong, just different. If we choose to, we can hope and pray for our desired future. https://t.co/OLAC861TQx
