Eddie Garcia passed away at the age of 90. According to a medical bulletin issued by the Makati Medical Center on Thursday, June 20, the veteran and multi-awarded actor-filmmaker passed away at 4:55 p.m.
Garcia’s last television series FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano offered him a tribute hours after his death through a compilation of his memorable moments in the series. He portrayed the nemesis of Cardo (Coco Martin) as Don Emilio and later under the guise of Senor Gustavo, between the year 2016 and 2019.
His death came just days after he was awarded the Gawad Urian for Best Actor for his role in the 2018 Cinemalaya movie ML (Martial Law).
It was June 8 when the multi-awarded actor tripped on a cable wire while shooting for a GMA Network series leading him to suffer a severe neck fracture and was comatose for almost two weeks.
