He was first a commentator and courtside reporter at Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) before he joined GMA News in 2010.

It was hinted back then, that the sports brodcaster Mark Zambrano will be changing networks, due to a blind item by several news outlets, and rumors had circulated that the possible network was ABS-CBN, but it wasnβt.
The ESPN 5 community welcomed the Sport broadcaster and believed that ESPN 5 best suits him.
