- This is Jodi Sta. Maria’s primetime comeback project after three years
Kapamilya loyal viewers held back their breath as the newest mystery-thriller television drama pilot episode was aired on Monday.
‘Sino ang May Sala: Mea Culpa’ pilot episode topped Twitter trends as it unraveled a crime that threatened to derail the dreams of new lawyers.
The episode was set when Juris (Bela Padilla) and her friends Drei (Tony Labrusca), Lolita (Ivana Alawi), Gaylord (Sandino Martin) and Greco (Kit Thompson) checked the results of their bar exams. All of them passed except for Bogs (Ketchup Eusebio).
To celebrate, the group of friends went on a road trip to Baguio. What started as a fun-filled adventure, however, spiraled into a nightmare as their car hit a pedestrian.
Lolita was driving their car when she accidentally hit a lady and killed her. It took a long time before the group decided on what to do with the woman’s body.
Armed with their knowledge of the law, the friends weighed the chances of them being implicated in the victim’s death. With emotions running high, they left the decision of whether to get rid of the body, to a vote.
“Majority rules,” Greco said, setting into motion the crime drama that has been teased in trailers leading up to the series’ premiere.
Along with the truth, they took with them the baby who had been carried by their victim—the daughter of farmer Fina (Jodi Sta. Maria). The baby was stolen by the victim from the hospital.

ABS-CBN’s newest primetime offering, ‘Sino Ang May Sala? Mea Culpa,’ debuted strongly, recording a national TV rating of 22%, or 8.3 points higher than ‘Love You Two’s’ 13.9%, according to Kantar Media.
On NUTAM (Nationwide Urban Television Audience Measurement), ‘Sino Ang May Sala? Mea Culpa’ also won its first race with 9.3% rating versus ‘Love You Two’s’ 9.0%.
