- ‘The General’s Daughter’ is now leading among the GMA Network shows
- With intense scenes, ‘Sahaya’ was able to pull more viewers than ‘The General’s Daughter’
- Will this be the start of the downfall of ‘The General’s Daughter’ topbilled by Angel Locsin?
Bianca Umali and Miguel Tanfelix’s ‘Sahaya’ is getting stronger in terms of viewership, according to NUTAM, GMA Network’s TV ratings provider.
Airing its first episode on March 18, Kapuso primetime series ‘Sahaya’ finally scored higher than its rival show, ‘The General’s Daughter.’ According to NUTAM, on Wednesday (May 1), the series, topbilled by the BiGuel love team, got a rating of 11.0%, 0.6% higher than ‘The General’s Daughter’s’ rating of 10.4%.
“Finally. Salamat po mga kapuso! Tuloy lang po ang suporta sa Sahaya At sa lahat ng aming mga shows. Iba iba po ang handog naming palabas sa inyo. Thank you po at kahit paano ay nagugustuhan na ninyo,” says the show’s headwriter Suzette Doctolero on her Facebook account.

Meanwhile on Kantar Media, ‘The General’s Daughter’ has a significant drop last Wednesday. Based on the ratings posted by the verified Dreamscape PH Instagram account, the show led by Angel Locsin is now down to —% from enjoying 30s in the previous weeks.
In ‘Sahaya’ last Wednesday, Sahaya (Umali) miraculously healed Lola Maureen (Marissa Delgado) that’s why she did not allow Irene (Ana Roces) to return Sahaya back to the streets. Meanwhile, because of Irene’s hurtful words towards her mother, Manisan (Mylene Dizon), Sahaya did not mince words towards Irene.
With intense scenes between Umali and Roces, ‘Sahaya’ is pulling more viewers than its rival show, ‘The General’s Daughter.’ ‘Sahaya’ proved that a family drama is still the top genre of choice for Pinoy viewers nationwide.
Will this be the start of ‘The General’s Daughter’s’ downfall?
