Nadine Lustre is one the artists who was given recognition by FAMAS last April 28, 2019.
The actress won a Best Actress award for the movie ‘Never Not Love You’ which she top-billed opposite her on-screen and off-screen partner, James Reid, who also won as Best Actor Award for the same movie.
This only shows that Lustre is one of the promising actresses in her generation and she can now compete with veteran stars.
However, her achievement as an actress has led to allegations that she is more successful than the two millennial stars of ABS-CBN, Kathryn Bernardo and Liza Soberano.
In a press conference held right after the FAMAS Awards, Lustre stated that artists have different strength and it’s her lucky year. She also admitted that she doesn’t look at the success of others for she is thankful for what she has.
She said, “I don’t look at it like that. Sa akin po parang lahat kami may iba’t ibang strength. So maybe this year sa akin, next year sa kanila. Hindi po ako ‘yung klase ng tao na tumitingin sa success ng ibang tao e. I’m just really happy with what I have. I’m really thankful for it, always.”
After Liza’s withdrawal from the iconic role, Lustre is the clamor as the next actress to play as ‘Darna.’
During the press conference, the ‘Never Not Love You’ star also admitted that she is willing to audition herself for ‘Darna’ if she will he asked by her management team.
“‘Pag sinabihan po ako, gagawin ko. I’m very open to everything… Hindi pa po, but if they ask me, of course I would want to do it. Sino naman pong ayaw maging Darna, ‘di ba?” the actress narrated.
The actress added that she is will do her best to fit the legendary role since being ‘Darna’ is a big responsibility.
“Siyempre po, kasi malaking responsibilidad po ‘yun, e. Siyempre si Darna ‘yun, Filipino icon. Hindi ka puwedeng magkamali talaga,” Nadine said.
Lustre’s latest movie was ‘Ulan,’ which she top-billed opposite Carlo Aquino. The film was directed by Irene Villamor. The movie earned positive reviews and feedback from the viewers.
After their last teleserye ‘Till I Met You’ in 2016, the JaDine loveteam is on for a comeback in television as they are set to star in the upcoming Dreamscape production fantasy series, ‘Magica Blanca.’
