- ‘Idol Philippines’ judge Moira dela Torre: “I can’t force you to like me, but I’m here.”
The “Idol Fever” is really on fire and the heat of the search on who will be the next Idol Philippines. But the escalation of heat is not just with in the search but on the judges as well.
On the recent episode of ‘Idol Philippines,’ the show had received a lot of criticisms that drew mixed emotions from the viewers, especially on the judges of the show. One of the very controversial, judges is singer-song writer Moira Dela Torre.
In an interview with PEP.Ph, the singer shared how she took the bashing and on how she judged the said show. “Pini-filter naman namin. Yung constructive criticism, I take it to heart, ang dami rin kasi nilang hindi alam sa nangyayari behind the camera.”
The singer mentioned that a lot really don’t know on what happens behind the camera, which they can’t really conclude with the bashings that they’re doing.
“Ang dami rin nilang hindi alam in terms of you as an artist, you as a person. But at the end of the day, I have nothing but respect. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.”
Moira Dela Torre even mentioned that she can’t really force people in not letting them think that she wasn’t the “judge” that they’re rooting for.
“If that’s what you think, I can’t force you to like me, but I’m here.”
She even shared that during the auditions the she also has something happening and, thanks to the Idol family, because they were very understanding on her situation.
“Actually, noong taping ng auditions, mayroon akong pinagdadaanan noong time na yun. Sobrang naging challenging siya for me because I was going through something physically. But then, lahat—from the prod, to Direk, to my co-judges, to the contestants—lahat sila pinadali yung buhay ko.’
“Lahat sila, they were all understanding, and I’m very, very happy to be part of this family. I’m okay now, but I’m in so much pain during that time. God is so good, He healed me, I’m healing. Everyone is so kind, so nice to me.”

Oh goodness, Moira! You don’t deserve the chair in the panel of judges for Idol Philippines. ‘Pag di mo gusto yuyuko ka na lang??? Magye-yes pag biritera at may itsura? You, together with Vice and James, are blind to real talents. We all know you’re just there for viewer reach.

Singer-songwrite Moira Dela Torre was also a contender of ABS-CBN’s competition, ‘The Voice Philippines,’ but her luck wasn’t there that time.
