- Pacquiao said that if he finds himself in a similar situation, he would accept the decision of voters
Senator Manny Pacquiao advised senatorial candidates who lost in the recent May 2019 elections to learn to accept their defeat.
The senator expressed this sentiment in connection to the statement of Otso Diretso campaign manager Senator Francis Pangilinan that the delay in the transmittal of votes to the Commission on Election transparency servers casted doubts on the results.
At a press conference, Senator Manny Pacquaio said that those who got lost should accept their defeat adding that he himself had suffered such predicaments.
Pacquaio even added that God has plans for the loss that one must face and candidates should accept the decision of the people

One of the candidates who believes that he was cheated out of votes is senatorial candidate Attorney Larry Gadon.
In a Facebook video which garnered almost 1,300,000 + views, the senatorial candidate shared his thoughts about the alleged cheating.
None of the candidates of Otso Diretso got into Magic 12 where most of the winners are from the Hugpong ng Pagbabago.
