After Liza Soberano’s exit from the ‘Darna’ project due to her right index finger injury, the search for a new ‘Darna’ has been underway, with auditions even being opened to the public.
Since the ‘Darna’ movie will be produced by Star Cinema, it was expected that a Kapamilya actress would be the one to take on the role. But there are now rumors that Kapuso Stars could be the next ‘Darna.’
‘Sahaya’ lead star Bianca Umali allegedly auditioned for the iconic hero role without her management GMA Artist Center’s (GMAAC) approval.
Reportedly, GMAAC is currently conducting an investigation on the leaked information. The Kapuso Star is being asked to explain her side to her talent management agency.

Meanwhile, on a fan’s Twitter account, a video of Sanya Lopez shouting ‘Darna’ was posted with a caption, “Our strong, fierce and beautiful Queen shemss Danaya to Darna why not diba? @sanya_lopez bagay talagang maging darna and that shout,. mygoshh! Goosebumps! Darnaaaaaaaa! Bagay na bagay po huyyyy!”
According to a source, the Kapamilya Network supposedly wrote a request to GMA Network to have the star audition for the role. Unfortunately, the request was denied.
