Filipinos are true fans of catfight scenes on television series. Proof of that is how a scene between two main characters on the show Bihag of GMA Network quickly gained one million views.
The series follows the story of Jessie (Max Collins), a simple and loving wife, and her doctor husband Brylle (Jason Aballos). Their life was shattered when their only son Ethan was kidnapped and killed. As a mother, Jessie fights on her own to get justice for her murdered son. Things get worse as Reign (Sophie Albert) gets in between Jessie and Brylle.
In its May 21 episode, Jessie finally discovers that Reign, whom she treated as a dear friend, is her husband’s mistress.
Jessie decided to confront Reign in a catfight that had Jessie throwing dipping sauces and vinegar on Reign.
The video clip of the scene trended on YouTube garnering over 1 million views. It was also included in the trending list of the video-sharing website.
With its trending episodes in the past few days, the series is slowly catching up to its rival Kadenang Ginto in terms of ratings. With its trending episodes, Bihag can possibly defeat its top rating rival series soon.
