After 13 years of staying with the GMA Network, veteran actress Jean Garcia is still a Kapuso after she inked her contract with the network on May 6.
The veteran actress started working with GMA Network on 2006. She was known for playing supporting roles and villain characters in primetime shows and drama series such as ‘Majika,’ ‘Impostora,’ ‘La Vendetta,’ ‘Dyesebel,’ and many others.
She is known for her role as Madam Claudia Buenavista in the original version of ‘Pangako Sa ‘Yo,’ back in the days when she was still a talent of ABS-CBN.
As she renewed her contract last Monday, the actress happily shared why she chose to stay with her home network.
In an interview she said, “I’m very grateful and thankful to GMA sa walang sawa nilang pagmamahal, tsaka importante ‘yung pagtitiwala nila sa’kin, tsaka sa mga magagandang projects na binibigay nila.”
In her statement, Garcia added that the way she is challenged by the roles given to her is one of the biggest reasons why she remains loyal to GMA Network.

“‘Yung experience ko kasi sa kanila, never nila ako binigyan ng project na hindi ako magiging proud. Pinipili nila talaga ‘yung mga characters na ginagawa ko tapos tumatatak siya sa audience kahit papaano, that’s why I’m very thankful.
“Palaging maayos, maganda ‘yung character, at tsaka iba-iba. Kinakausap din nila ako about kunwari ibahin ko ‘yung look. So ako, I’m very open naman with that kasi kailangan ko rin mag-explore ‘di ba?”
As she starts anew in her career, Garcia is looking forward to a stronger and longer relationship with GMA Network.
The veteran actress was last seen in the defunct afternoon drama series ‘Ika-5 Utos’ where she played the character of Eloisa Vallejo-Buenaventura / Eloisa Vallejo-Lorenzo.
As of the moment, there ain’t no information regarding her next projects with GMA Network. However, the actress is set to appear in the primetime series ‘Sahaya’, a drama series topbilled by Bianca Umali.
