In the previous weeks, ‘The General’s Daughter’ and ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’ dominated the battle of the ratings nationwide. Aside from scoring against its rival shows, the two Kapamilya programs topped in the ranking of most viewed television programs in both Kantar Media and AGB Nielsen NUTAM.
As of May 06, ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’ still leads the ranking with a rating of 15.1%.
However, the second spot that ‘The General’s Daughter’ used to fill has been occupied by its rival program ‘Sahaya’.
With an audience share of 13.5%, ‘Sahaya’ kept a 1.1% lead against ‘The General’s Daughter’ which got 12.4% audience share landing on the third spot. This is so far, the highest rating that ‘Sahaya’ got.
‘Kara Mia’ claimed the fourth spot with 11.9% viewership rating that is 3.2% lower than its rival show ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.’
‘TV Patrol’ is still the most viewed news program. With a rating of 11.4%, the show secured the 5th spot in the ranking. Its rival show, ’24 Oras,’ landed on the 6th spot with 11.0% rating.
GMA Network’s romance-comedy series ‘Love You Two’ is now in the 7th spot and is making its wide lead against its rival show ‘Sino Ang May Sala? Mea Culpa’ that occupied the 9th spot.
‘Kadenang Ginto’ is still the most watched series in the afternoon prime block with a rating of 9.9%, securing the 8th spot in the overall ranking.

The success of ‘Sahaya’ is a big challenge to ABS-CBN shows ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’ and ‘The General’s Daughter’ which used to lead the nationwide ranking. Now, ‘Sahaya’ has to secure its position or to soar higher. Nevertheless, the actors and actresses portraying in the mentioned drama series deserve a pat in the back for a job well done.
Many might think what made the viewers interested in the show. Let me spill the beans on what is happening now in ‘Sahaya.’
As her life starts to change, the lead character, Sahaya (Bianca Umali) was sent to college by the family who adopted her. She is enrolled in the university where Jordan and Lindsay are enrolled in. Little did she know that her mother Manisan (Mylene Dizon) and childhood friend and romantic lead Ahmad (Miguel Tanfelix) is finding their way to her to take her home. Manisan then happened to see Harold (Zoren Legazpi), his old flame, and the one who adopted Sahaya.
Even so, the country’s no.1 program ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’ just won’t back down. Despite the long-run, the show remains hyped and intense. In the latest episode, the force of Ricardo Dalisay (Coco Martin) is making sure that the police force is clean and efficient, by conducting rounds and clearing operations.
