MayWard (Maymay Entrata and Edward Barber) is one of the most popular loveteams of the Kapamilya network today after they left the ‘Pinoy Big Brother’ house.
They were recently praised by music veteran Jaya on her interview for ‘Tonight with Boy Abunda.’
“Yung mga anak ko kasi faney ng MayWard. ‘Pag gabi nanunuod kami ng PBB (Pinoy Big Brother)… But I really, really like these two as yung normal nila, as themselves. Mabait, grabe yung Maymay at Edward, ”Jaya said.
Many speculations have been drawn about their real score as the loveteam displayed more of their closeness and sweetness. Their relationship gained more controversy as Edward supposedly confirmed Maymay as her girlfriend.

It happened during a conversation with co-stars Robi Domingo, Daniel Padilla, Donny Pangilinan and Kyle Echarri in the recent episode of iWant ASAP. Robi asked Edward’s feeling while Maymay was absent for the filming of the movie “Hello,Love,Goodbye” in Hongkong.
“First of all, first time mo bang mawalay sa girlfriend mo?”
And surprisingly, Edward replied with “Yes”
In a press conference for Dreamscape’s newest series, ‘Hiwaga ng Kambat’, starred by MayWard alongside Grae Fernandez and Chantal Vidale, the loveteam revealed their current relationship status to settle things down.
“Yung totoo ha, this world is so quick. I mean this from the bottom of my heart, this world is so crazy. I don’t mean living in the Philippines, in this industry. And if there’s one thing I learned sa loob ng bahay ni Kuya, it’s to take things slow. So discover lang as you go along. Don’t rush into things. Don’t dive in kasi you might not get out. So the best things in the world, the best things you should love are things that you gain slowly. So ‘yung totoo po, ayokong isipin. I don’t want to think about it too much kasi andaming, ‘You guys are a love team, get together na. Nakakakilig ‘yun, dun galing ang pera,’” Barber said.
Maymay was then asked about her feelings for Edward and she answered: “Ang damdamin ko po para kay Dodong ay sobrang feeling thankful po ako na dumating siya sa buhay ko dahil siya po ‘yung lalaki na consistent po talaga ‘pag may gusto, siya sa isang babae. Kapag sinabi niya hihintayin kita, hihintayin [ka niya]. ‘Di ba po ‘pag may mga lalaki ‘hihintayin kita’ ‘pag three months, wala na. Psshh wala na po.”
“Pero feeling ko ang ganda ganda ko po dahil hanggang ngayon po nililigawan po ang mga family ko,“she added.
“At tsaka talagang mas mabuti po talaga ‘pag kilalanin niyo muna ang isa’t-isa. Hindi pa po talaga time. Kagaya po nung sinabi namin kanina, priority po namin ‘yung family namin, ‘yung pangarap namin kung ano meron sa amin ngayon na blessings. Dahil ‘yung totoong maging official na, darating po ‘yun sa tamang panahon kapag stable na ang lahat,” she stated.

Edward Barber also left a piece of advice for the new generation loveteams.
“We know naman from people we’ve seen inside this industry and outside in our own experience na mas maganda talaga ‘pag nagsisimula talaga bilang magkaibigan. As in that’s where you know people directly. You get straight to the core. Kasi ‘di ba ‘pag relationship, you don’t need to be experienced to know this kasi of course, you show your best self to them. Tapos unti-unti lumalabas ‘yung mga flaws, ‘yung mga perks. So start from friends and go from there. Advice ko ‘yun sa mga bagong love teams,” he said.
As bottomline, MayWard still wants to have their privacy for them to focus on their own dreams and family.
