The ‘Search for the next Idol Philippines’ is still on fire and escalating on its back-to-back episodes, featuring great singers from all over the country in showcasing their singing talents. But the tension in the search for the next Idol is not bound within the singing competition alone, but also with the viewers’ opinions against the panel of judges.
One of the people that shared their sentiments on a recent auditionees of Idol Philippines, in which a lot were dismayed, was the actor and singer songwriter, Juan Karlos Labajo, who shared his sentiments on his disappointment on the rejected idol aspirant Luke Baylon, just because of his reggae kind of style in singing.
On the Twitter account of Juan Karlos Labajo, the singer even shamed one of the judges, James Reid, who gave a No, to the aspirant.
A wise judge said, “I like your voice.”
The tweet was directed at James Reid. The tweet was taken down, but tweets related to the singers’ shaming against James Reid caused both negative and positive responses, “all these butthurt fans OVER REACTING to my opinion on something saying im just bandwagonning and all like i don’t get it. when should i share my opinion like 3 years before something happens para di masabihang nakikisabay”? kitid daw ng utak ko wew kakahiya naman po sa inyo”
“mabait ang tahimik, masama ang maingay. that’s their logic. pathetic.”
A lot of viewers had agreed on JK’s sentiment as to why Luke Baylon didn’t get a pass to Idol City for they know that the reggae artist has potential. The singer songwriter even tweeted pictures of his sentiment and commended Luke Baylon’s performance.

‘Idol Philippines’ judge James Reid already commented on this matter.
“Like I said, Luke Baylon is a good singer but we’re looking for the total package. Wait till you see the 12 finalists. You’ll see why I said he wasn’t ready. For now, I wish Luke all the success is his music career. That rendition of If I Ain’t Got You was sick 🔥”
This was the statement of James Reid in an apparent response to the recent social media post of Juan Karlos Labajo, although not expressly addressed to him.

“You have no idea how hard it is to crush peoples dreams right in front of them. That’s the burden we carry as judges to try and give one special person a chance of a lifetime. Just wait. The auditions isn’t even the hardest part. #IdolPhilippines”
