- This will be their first movie project together
On Thursday, April 25, ‘It’s Showtime’ hosts Vice Ganda and Anne Curtis proudly announced that they are set to work together on the big screen. They didn’t dive into details but the movie is scheduled for a Christmas Day release.
According to the Unkabogable Star, the upcoming movie is the gift of ‘It’s Showtime’ that will be marking its 10th year on October.
“Kasama ito sa regalo namin ng ‘It’s Showtime,’ kasi 10th year,” Vice Ganda said.
“Magmula nang maging magkaibigan kami ni Anne, hindi pa kami gumagawa ng pelikula together, so regalo namin ito ngayong Pasko,” he added.
Vice and Anne are not just close on-screen for they are real-life best friends. They are co-hosts in the Kapamilya show, ‘It’s Showtime,’ and I could say that their tandem, with their hilarious jokes and dozens of funny moments, will surely make you laugh.
The scheduled release of the upcoming movie of Vice and Anne (which is Christmas Day) is a giveaway that it could be an entry film to the annual MMFF (Metro Manila Film Festival).
For the record, Vice Ganda has been joining the MMFF for 8 years with 6 successful films that made their way to the top of the box-office race. His latest MMFF entry was ‘Fantastica’ in 2018- the highest grossing MMFF film that earned 596 million pesos.
