- Liza Soberano is up for a new teleserye after she gave up the ‘Darna’ role due to a finger injury
- Liza will team-up again with her real-life partner Enrique Gil on a new teleserye of ABS-CBN
- The LizQuen tandem will again with ‘Bagani’ writer Mark Angos
It’s just a week ago when an emotional Liza Soberano announced that she backed out from the Darna movie because of her injury. In her inteview last April 4, she clearly admitted that her decision frightened her as she might not have offers anymore and become jobless.
She said, “Akala ko if I backed out of ‘Darna,’ I wouldn’t have a job anymore. They told me na just because I’m not doing ‘Darna’ anymore, doesn’t mean I’m any less of an artist to them.‘”
It was only yesterday, April 10, when her manager, Ogie Diaz, revealed that Liza is already working on a new teleserye project together with her on-and-off screen partner, Enrique Gil.
“Pitching of a new kilig teleserye under Star Creatives,” Diaz teased.
Not only that, the real-life couple will also be working on an upcoming movie project.
The upcoming teleserye will be the fourth team up of Liza and Enrique on TV.
Liza and Enrique have already co-starred on three television series of ABS-CBN under StarCreatives. These are: “Forevermore” (which was aired in 2014), “Dolce Amore” (in 2016), and “Bagani” (in 2018).

At the moment, LizQuen (as what fans dubbed Liza and Enrique’s loveteam) had already four films where they top-billed.
Their first movie was Just The Way You Are (2015), followed by Everyday I Love You (2015), and the most recent, the box-office hit Alone/Together (2019).
Surely, their upcoming teleserye and movie project will send a buzz not just to fans but also the online world.
