- Kris Aquino broke her hiatus on social media to defend her brother, former President Benigno Aquino III, from the Roxas’ camp
- Mar Roxas’ campaign manager, Edgar Erice, allegedly blamed Noynoy as to why they lost in their campaign
- Kris then archived her post after Kiko Pangilinan requested for a “ceasefire”
It’s almost a week since the former ‘Queen of All Media’ decided to take a break from social media to focus on her recovery, privately, after confessing about her complicated medical diagnosis.
But yesterday, April 14, she broke her silence, as well as her hiatus from social media, to defend her brother, former President Benigno ‘Noynoy’ Aquino III from Edgar Erice – the Caloocan representative and campaign manager of senatorial candidate Mar Roxas.
It is after Erice’s statement that indirectly blamed Noynoy for Mar’s defeat in his presidential bid in 2016.
According to Inquirer, Erice stated that there’s one lesson senatorial candidate Mar Roxas learned the hard way from his losing presidential run in 2016, and that is “He should never have worn yellow!”
Yellow is the color that represented the Liberal Party (LP) during President Noynoy Aquino’s term. This was also the color used by Mar Roxas during his presidential bid in 2016, where he was defeated by current president, His Excellency Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
“Now our color is blue,” Erice stated, referring to the color of the opposition, Otso Diretso.
Erice told Inquirer that, “It was a conscious decision [to change colors] because one mistake [Roxas] made in 2016 was acting like Robin to [Aquino’s] Batman … and Robin will never be Batman.”
Despite not being in good terms with her brother, Kris didn’t tolerate Erice’s words against his brother.
In her Instagram account, she wrote, “But really, to blame his loss on my brother? So pati ba pagkatalo sa 2010 kasalanan din ni Noy?” This post was then archived by Kris, due to Kiko Pangilinan’s request of “ceasefire.”
In another Instagram post, she expressed her support to his brother.
In the caption she wrote, “I know we were raised knowing the world can turn their backs on us BUT we’d always have each other… In time, I pray we can be FAMILY again.”

In another archived post, she posted raw photos of herself, with the caption,
“I archived my other post not because I don’t stand by everything I said, but because ma respeto akong pinakiusapan ni @kiko.pangilinan ng “ceasefire.” Please know this about me, when i have seen a person is GENUINE, madali akong kausap, kaya kong magbigay.”
